Prior to starting work for TVFP in 1993 (16 years) I took a year off from reality to sail on a 42' one make steal hull sailboat from Seattle to Mazatlan Mexico...... My real job: 4 kid's, 1 wife, 3 dogs and 2 cats...... My dog Kuper is a bloodhound...... Hobbies include camping, dirt bikes and snowmobiles.............

I have ten years in the industry, 7 of which was out of our Denver office.  I moved to Idaho to take the Service Manager role in our Boise office in Sept of 2008 and joined IFPF at that time.  IFPF is a very unique and important organization and I am proud to be a member.

Exec. Committee- Scott Arellano

In 2005 I began working for the City of Boise as a Fire Code plan reviewer, and most recently became the Planning & Development Services Fire Manager. Prior to working for the City I worked in the construction industry as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter for 8 years. Prior to working as a sprinkler fitter, I served in the US Navy onboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) as a Damage Controlman from 1993 to 1997 where I serviced and maintained fixed shipboard fire protection systems, trained shipboard personnel, and perform as a full time shipboard fire fighting team member.

I currently hold professional certifications as an ICC Fire Code Plans examiner, ICC Fire Inspector 1 & 2, Idaho State Fire Inspector; and currently am working towards completion of a Fire Service Administration degree with Idaho State University.

I am a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Western Fire Chiefs Association, and Idaho Fire Chiefs Associations; and currently serve on the Development Services Advisory Committee and Fire Subcommittee with the City of Boise.
