Welcome to Safety Fest of the Great Northwest 2012.
We are very proud to announce that this year you will have a total of 43 different classes during the 4 days conference. We also have new Founding Partners joining Safety Fest this year that greatly expands the class opportunities with a number of classes now being offered at the HEOSI School in addition to the URS offices, the AGC training facility, and BSU. Safety Fest has grown significantly in both the number of classes offered and number of attendees since it began in Boise in 2005. New offerings:
- The Opening Ceremony will focus on Community Impact of Safety and Health which will start at 8:00am on Tuesday, January 24th.
- We'll be offering a 3-day Competent Person Class on Excavation, Trenching and Soil Mechanics on January 25th-27th at the HEOSI School
- URS will be teaching Crane training on Wednesday, January 25th at the HEOSI School
- The HEOSI School will be teaching Heavy Equipment training for 4 hours on either Wednesday January 25th or Thursday January 26th
- First Link Safety will be teaching Forklift Operator training on Thursday January 26th also at the HEOSI School
- A 3-day Permit Required Confined Space class (OSHA 2264) will be offered starting Wednesday - you must attend all 3 days of the class.
- The very popular are always requested Master Instructor class has been expanded to 8 hours.
- Bob Kohnke with First Link Safety is teaching Fall Protection.
- There will be 5 First Aid/CPR classes including 1 in Spanish.
- Idaho Technology Transfer Center (T2) will offer the S.T.A.R.T Program.
Over the last 6 years, we are excited for the new classes and increased attendance. The one thing that has not changed is the price - it is still free! Many classes will fill up quickly so register now.
